Ingredients: Scones
- 240g flour
- 100g sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 stick of frozen butter
- 105g light sour cream
- 1 egg
- zest of 2 oranges
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup dried or whole cranberries
Ingredients: Glaze
- 125g powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp water
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda and set aside.
- Grate stick of butter.
- Use hands to work butter into dry mixture until small crumbs form.
- Whisk sour cream, egg, and vanilla in separate bowl.
- Add to flour mixture and mix with a spatula until it forms a wet dough.
- Pour dough onto a floured surface and work into a ball.
- Place dough on floured baking sheet and freeze for 10 minutes.
- Cut dough into 8 triangles and separate so that they’re at least 2 inches apart.
- Freeze for an additional 10 minutes.
- Bake for 17-20 minutes.
- Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Whisk powdered sugar and water together and drizzle over scones.
